Where it started: toppings, oven, cutter, nothing else

The 2007 original has no shop upgrades, no ingredients to unlock and no second currency — it is the loop with the paint stripped off. Toppings go on specific quarters of the pie, the oven runs on a meter you watch, and the cutter has to match the slice count the customer asked for. Play it after any later shop and you will feel how much of the modern game was already here.

Three tips for five stars

1. 1Half-and-half orders mean quarters: count clockwise from the top-left, the way the ticket is drawn.
2. 2Pull the pie one tick before the ring — the meter keeps moving while you drag.
3. 3Use the cutter guide lines; a slice off by a few degrees costs more than an extra second in the oven.
